Raising Steel at BHS
Carrying on–safely and methodically: a few photos of construction progress at Bainbridge High School
Our on-going GC/CM work leading renovations and new construction in multiple buildings on the occupied Bainbridge HS campus has not been without complexity. After uncovering substantial undocumented, abandoned underground utilities and unforeseen conditions during early earthwork, we pivoted and re-sequenced operations to stay on track; and now face the uncharted challenges of forging ahead responsibly during a global pandemic.
With new State-approved and CDC-guided site safety regulations and precautionary protocol in place, we continue to make progress on all our job sites and here at BHS–recently erecting the steel structure for the new 100 Building which will consolidate the schools’ Fine Arts, Culinary, Music, and Industrial Technology programs and create a new centralized commons on campus. With scopes in the 300 Building already complete and interior renovations in the new Performing Arts Center temporarily on hold due to COVID-19 concerns, we continue to build–cautiously and responsibly–and we look forward to seeing students back on campus in the new year, using these beautiful new facilities.
