FORMA’s spent this summer at the pool. Here’s an update.

We’re pleased to share that Tacoma Public Schools selected FORMA Construction + BCRA to program, plan, and manage a range of systems & infrastructure upgrades and swimming pool refurbishments at five occupied Tacoma high schools via a bundled Progressive Design-Build collaboration.

With the critical needs of these facilities outpacing the contract’s budget, our interdisciplinary team focused on working closely with the District to prioritize stakeholders’ objectives and identify VE opportunities to deliver maximum impact within available project dollars; while sequencing renovations into multiple phases to strictly limit the amount of time any two natatoriums are out of service at once.

With Package 1 now complete, the swimming facilities at Stadium and Silas High Schools are much improved and back online for students, as we prepare for work at Foss, Mt Tahoma, and Lincoln High Schools next.
