the Historic John L O’Brien Building
FORMA completed this phased, $34M GC/CM contract to renovate the historic John L O’Brien building on the Capitol Campus in Olympia. On track to achieve LEED Silver certification, this major renovation involved comprehensive seismic, electrical, and mechanical upgrades, in addition to the meticulous restoration of historical elements and general programmatic improvements throughout.
Housing the primary offices and hearing rooms for the Washington State House of Representatives, work on the busy, public Capitol Campus was carefully sequenced to safeguard users and the public without compromising our construction schedule or the activities of a major government facility.
