Madrona K-8 School Occupied Replacement
The Madrona K-8 School is a one-of-a-kind public school offering innovative, flexible learning environments that were not being adequately supported in the school’s interim facilities.
As GC/CM, FORMA worked with the full design team, school staff, and District stakeholders to learn more about program objectives to aid in an efficient VE decision-making process and maximize the project’s available dollars. To support this effort we developed the project’s Value Engineering Manual in-house–documenting our team’s VE efforts and O&M savings throughout Preconstruction.
Construction on this occupied campus was carefully phased and sequenced to minimize the impact on existing campus operations–leaving the greatest portion possible of the school’s track and play fields open and available for school and community use throughout construction.
