High Point Neighborhood Center
Built for a non-profit organization to support the Seattle Housing Authority’s High Point neighborhood, this award-winning 20,000 sf community services center includes daycare, Head Start and preschool facilities, classrooms, administrative and multi-purpose gathering spaces. Adults can receive on-site job training and access to case workers, and teenagers gather in a safe and welcoming environment after school.
The LEED Gold certified building serves as a teaching facility with interior windows and instructional signage hi-lighting the building’s many efficient systems and features. At the time it was built, the Center’s rooftop photovoltaic array was the largest in the State.
