OVk-8 Continues to Impress
We’re excited to announce that our recent GC/CM collaboration with McGranahan PBK has won the Grand Prize.
Complete on budget and on schedule, the new two-story, 67,000 sf Olympic View K-8 school in Federal Way was recently awarded Learning By Design’s Grand Prize for New Construction under 100,000 sf.
Of particular interest to the prestigious panel of architects and educational facility experts is the school’s role as a community-focused multicultural hub to support not only its students but their families and neighbors as well.
A Family Connection Center, Discovery Lab, Community Pavilion, Rain Garden, and a soccer mini pitch— donated by FORMA in collaboration with Black Players for Change, the Seattle Sounders, and the Rave Foundation — are just some of the inspired, community-focused components of this award winning school.
Our fifth new school built for FWPS, we are thrilled to have been a part of the new Olympic View K-8 and the positive impact it will have on local students and the surrounding Federal Way community for years to come.
