Jumping in with all Four Hooves
FORMA is thrilled to announce that we’re starting work on an important project in lovely Port Angeles, Washington
As reported in the Peninsula News, the Port Angeles School District unanimously approved FORMA Construction to lead the GC/CM team that will deliver a new and vastly improved Stevens Middle School.
Working closely with the District, Integrus Architecture, Tribal leaders, and members of the community that make up the Port Angeles Capital Advisory Committee and the Design Advisory Committee, our Preconstruction work will build consensus around the developing design and inform critical cost and schedule controls to ensure on time and on budget delivery despite a market still facing supply chain and cost escalation challenges.
The only middle school in the community, SMS serves approximately 600 students in the 7th and 8th grades, and has been operational for more than 40 years. A new, multi-story school building will replace outdated facilities in order to better meet current educational and security standards and provide the capacity to move sixth graders on to campus.
Already diving into the documents and meeting with stakeholders, our team is planning to begin some early prep and site stabilization work this summer with the bulk of construction to take place in 2026, for a planned opening in the Fall of 2027. Stay tuned, we will keep you posted as we work.
Thank you Port Angeles, we can’t wait to start building!
