A WCPA Fresh Face for Fall

FORMA is proud to be working with the Washington Center for the Performing Arts on a major interior renovation that will transform this Olympia icon

Opened in 1985, the well-loved downtown theater mostly known as The Center has welcomed nearly two million guests to plays, standup comedy, music & dance performances, “stunt dog experiences” and much more. With little remodeling done in all that time, major interior deconstruction and upgrades are now in the works to reinvigorate WCPA facilities and delight audiences for the next forty years.

Now nearly complete, FORMA’s work has involved extensive demo and replacement of finishes and fixtures throughout–including 40,000 sf of new carpet, 1,000 new seats, new paint and wall treatments, and remodeling of the concessions and administrative areas.

To celebrate their new space with the community, WCPA is hosting a reopening event on Sunday, November 13th from Noon – 4PM. Admission is free and they’ll be offering door prizes, guided tours, music and much more – we’ll see you there!
