Advanced Technology Center, Bates TC

The innovative Advanced Technology Center at Bates Technical College houses the school’s Engineering, Information Technology, and Digital Media programs.

Inspired by the tools and equipment utilized in these cutting-edge multi-media fields, the building’s state of the art design showcases typically back-of-house components such as the two story, glass-encased Data Center with server racks surrounded by catwalks on the upper level to serve both infrastructure and educational purposes.

LEED Gold certified, and recognized at the 2017 AIA Seattle Honor Awards, the design includes a double-height Broadcast Studio and an iconic Projection Cube feature to showcase digital media and student work, in addition to other cutting edge classroom and lab facilities.
