It’s Cold and Dreary Here but it’s Sumner Somewhere
Come warm your January fingers at the beach bonfire of our wacky wordplay.
FORMA is thrilled to announce that we’re teaming with the City of Sumner and TCF Architecture to build a new Operations Facility for the City’s Parks, Public Works, and Fleet Departments to better support the personnel and equipment that maintain Sumner’s roads, utilities, and public lands.
Currently housed on a constrained campus originally built in 2001 and hemmed in on all sides, the City has outgrown their existing facilities with no way to expand. FORMA’s work on the new complex, sited on 7.6 acres, will involve the construction of approximately 88,000 sf of new buildings for administration, material and vehicle storage, fleet washing and maintenance; as well as improvements to the right-of-way, sidewalks, lighting, landscaping, utilities, and stormwater management.
We’re gearing up now to mobilize on site shortly with a Community Groundbreaking event scheduled for next month and substantial completion slated for next summer. Head over to the City’s website for more details, project renderings, and FAQs, and stay tuned right here – we will keep you posted as we work.
Thank you Sumner, we’re so excited to start building this critical facility!
