HNY!
2020 can go. Showing up for work in our slippers can stay.
We love a nice wry wink at the unique complexities and “new-normals(?)” born of this crazy COVID year as much as the next guy, but we post this today in recognition of the hard working and resourceful individuals in our industry that never had the option of working from home in 2020.
Wearing uncomfortable masks and extra PPE in the heat and the rain and snow, and adjusting artfully to each new round of restrictions and guidelines–our own project teams, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers have kept building all year–finding creative ways to limit contact and get the job done safely. Kicking off major construction and opening gleaming new facilities to very little fanfare, we are nonetheless so proud of our work this year and the individuals that made it all possible.
With 2020 coming quickly to a close we are of course aware that this year’s challenges will still be around when the calendar flips to 2021, but it seems clear we will continue to manage them with resilience, innovation, and a sense of humor. Happy New Year everyone.
