Olympic HS PH II Renovations
FORMA successfully planned and managed phased modernizations in multiple wings of the occupied Olympic High School campus in Bremerton to provide significant systems and infrastructure upgrades; as well as vastly improved labs, classrooms, locker rooms and athletics facilities.
To mitigate the challenges inherent in 80,000 sf of renovations and tieing new systems into old in remodeled, occupied buildings, FORMA created a 3-dimensional point cloud scan of all existing spaces before demo and prioritized highly collaborative constructibility review sessions with the Owner, design team, and our BIM personnel–allowing us to address potential complexities as a team early on in the process.
Work was sequenced into four phases, each with their own TCO dates, facilitating a phased turn over that minimized impact to school operations. Weekly OAC meetings were attended by the OHS Principal to keep the team informed and give faculty and on site stakeholders the ability to make changes to logistics plans as their needs changed throughout construction.
