Olympia Fire Station No.4
This state of the art fire station is the City’s second busiest, answering more than 2,000 calls per year. With six sleep rooms and three apparatus bays, the station houses one 3-person engine company and one 2-person medic unit, and is expandable to house eight responders.
Performing at 24% less energy consumption than a conventional fire station, this LEED Gold certified facility includes water and energy-efficient systems and fixtures; natural daylighting; and rapidly renewable, locally-sourced, low-VOC materials. Existing on-site trees that could not be spared were milled and re-used in the construction and finishes of the project.
