FORMA is pleased to be working with Federal Way Public Schools on a replacement Illahee Middle School

Selected late in 2021 to lead construction of the new 100,000 sf Illahee Middle School, FORMA has been hard at work with IMS stakeholders and our GC/CM partners, Bassetti Architects, to refine the design, control costs, and prepare for construction of this beautiful new two-story school for 800 scholars in the sixth through eighth grades.

As well as upgrades to the recently modernized gym building, the new school will feature a grand central staircase, learning resource center, a flexible commons and performance area, outdoor learning space, classrooms, labs, and offices–all wrapped around a lushly landscaped learning courtyard full of tall on site trees that will be preserved during construction.
