It’s Go-Time at last in Shelton
A new Veterans Village–long in the works– is set to break ground in August
FORMA Construction is proud to be working with Quixote Communities, MSGS Architects, and many other dedicated team members on a new village community for homeless veterans in the Shelton area. A project that’s been in the works for over five years and faced down a gauntlet of funding, planning, and design challenges–we are very excited to announce that early work is already underway and we’re on track to begin construction in earnest next month.
Featuring seven 4-plexes, one duplex, and a 2,500 sf community building to house shared laundry, kitchen, living & dining facilities–the new village will support thirty veterans at a time and will be staffed with case managers and program directors to assist residents and promote peer mentorship in a tight-knit neighborhood setting.
You can read more about the project’s design and intent in this recent piece from the Shelton Mason County Journal and on the Quixote Communities’ website, where you can even donate to support the project. Stay tuned for updates as we build!
