FORMA Project is SITES™ Certified

The East Bay Public Plaza project is awarded a special certification for sustainable design

Completed by FORMA Construction, the East Bay Public Plaza is a 14 acre development that ties the new Hands On Children’s Museum (also built by FORMA), to the new LOTT Education Center with this revitalized public plaza and urban park on a formerly contaminated brownfield site. The resulting interactive outdoor space provides visibility and education about the interconnectedness of our water resources, and is one of only thirty projects nation-wide to receive certification under the Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES™) rating system. SITES holds high standards for certification; out of 150 projects that recently applied, only four projects were certified — the East Bay Public Plaza being one of them.
