Latest InsightFORMA Connects – the YCFC is Now the LEAF

Register now for FORMA’s upcoming Online Outreach Event on Wednesday, October 1st at noon
FORMA Construction and McGranahanPBK are teaming with North Thurston Public Schools and Greene Gasaway to build a new 45,000 sf early learning center on a 15.8 acre parcel adjacent to Nisqually Middle School.
The new Lacey Education & Family Center (LEAF, formerly referred to as the Young Child & Family Center), will include classrooms, motor skills spaces, outdoor play areas, administrative offices, a kitchen, support facilities, and a Timberland Regional Library branch; along with a playfield, parking, landscaping, and site work.
The FORMA GC/CM team is hosting an online informational call on Wednesday October 1st to introduce local businesses to the project, review important milestones, and discuss likely scope packages and bidding opportunities. All are welcome to this two-way conversation — whether you run a business in the trades, or provide a service like printing, cleaning, catering, or similar, there are likely opportunities for you to participate in this transformational Thurston County project.
To join the conversation, register here to receive the Teams link, or email FORMA’s Outreach + Inclusion Manager, Marissa Woodard-Nave. Can’t make it on the 1st? Not to worry, we’re planning a 2nd Informational meeting for this project in December and we’ll discuss this and other upcoming opportunities at our next Building Partnerships Event on November 10th. Don’t forget to check our Subcontracting Opportunities page regularly, where we update our weekly Bid Schedule and post a list of Upcoming Outreach Events like these. We look forward to seeing you online!
