Introducing the tulalW
FORMA was on hand yesterday afternoon to celebrate the Grand Opening of a beautiful new Student Center at Grays Harbor College, our 2nd major facility on campus.
The Quinault word for “together” tulalW is a fitting name for the newest building on the Aberdeen campus–a 70,000 sf student services facility that will house many gathering spaces–including the college Bookstore, a coffee bar, and dining area; the Office of Student Life, Veterans Lounge, Diversity Equity Center, and offices for Advising and Counseling, Recruitment and Financial Aid; as well as conference and meeting rooms and a third-floor event center with facilities to host 450 people.
Built in collaboration with KMB Architects, Opsis Architecture, the Department of Enterprise Services and college stakeholders–FORMA’s work involved construction of the new structure, as well as demo of the original HUB building it replaced, and site work such as a new plaza, retaining walls, parking lots and sidewalks. Until next time, Charlie!
