New Digs to Better Serve & Protect
FORMA is very pleased to be working with the City of Lacey on a new Police Station and Regional Training Facility
Just in time for Christmas, the Lacey City Council voted unanimously this week to select FORMA Construction to build their new 65,000 sf police station and training facilities on a wooded site adjacent to City Hall.
Originally built in 1985 to support 25 officers and a population of just 15,000; the original, outdated station lacks the space and modern facilities to adequately meet the needs of one of the fastest growing communities in western Washington, with a population now nearing 60,000. To replace this station, the new LPD facilities have been designed to emphasize community engagement, accommodate contemporary police programs, and enhance public safety.
To learn more about the features of the new Lacey Police facilities and the history behind the project, check out LPD’s website and this recent local article.
Already diving into the documents and meeting with stakeholders, our team is excited to begin construction in the new year with a plan to complete work in 2025. Thank you Lacey, we can’t wait to start building!
