The new (but old) Magnolia Elementary School is restored and ready for students.

Originally built in 1927 to house grades 1-6, the Magnolia School building has hosted many classes, served many uses, and seen many changes over its long life. Shuttered since 2003, the historic building was marked by many years of spray paint and neglect when FORMA was selected to tackle this major renovation and expansion project.

Yesterday we celebrated the revitalization of this lovely historic building with a ribbon cutting and facility tours. Thank you Seattle voters–we couldn’t be more proud to have been a part of this incredible team that’s transformed a graffiti-covered, crumbling structure into a beautiful, new, state of the art school with the richness of its history restored. We hope generations of Magnolia students to come will love this school as much as we do.
