FORMA Delivers the new Lake Wilderness Elementary Schoo — Six Months Early — in LEGO  

With the idea of better engaging students, teachers and the community in the construction of their new school, the FORMA GC/CM team currently building the new Lake Wilderness Elementary School in Maple Valley also built a scale model of the campus–out of LEGOs.

FORMA Project Engineer and life-long LEGO enthusiast Jessie Robertson took the lead on the project, using Navisworks modeling software to convert the project’s plans into a LEGO digital design. The resulting 4′ x 5.5′ model is comprised of more than 15,000 LEGO bricks and weighs about 50 pounds.

The model is currently on display in the existing school’s library, while construction of the new elementary school (on schedule for completion this Fall), moves forward.
